The doctor visit was excellent, but the experience was undermined by disorganization among the staff. The pre-procedure instruction document resembled a yard sale flyer—unclear and unprofessional. Unfortunately, due to a lack of proper communication and information, I had to cancel the procedure. But maybe the cancelation was a good thing.

I cannot express how fortunate we have been to have Dr. Patel and his staff guide us with my mother’s health issues. She is 96 years old and was very frightened coming in to a new doctor. The entire staff at Florida Digestive Specialists made us feel welcome. Dr. Patel spoke directly to my mother, not “around her or about her,” including her in the whole diagnosis process. He is empathetic and caring. While diligent in his pursuit of the best treatment plan for her, Dr. Patel considers the whole family and their interactions with the patient. We cannot say enough! We feel blessed to have found him.

I just had a colonoscopy done a few days ago. When I met Dr Patel for the first time, he put a smile on my face when I was feeling somewhat anxious about the colonoscopy, not knowing that the procedure went smoothly and not bad at all! Thank you Dr Patel and team for taking care of me so diligently and professionally. I’m ready to go through the procedure again in 3 years.

Lena creates a welcoming atmosphere and actually listens to you and the issues you are having. I would highly recommend her to anybody hitting a brick wall in finding the culprit of their GI pains and problems. Her nurses also listen very well and help create the welcoming atmosphere.
